NEW SERVICE
Small Group Tutoring
Small group tutoring is suited to students who can work well with others, are not easily distracted and need a little extra assistance to understand Math or English concepts. We will assess each child to find their weaknesses and strengths in a particular subject. We will then design group lessons targeting concepts that the whole group needs to revise, with some differentiation of lessons occurring depending on student skills. Unfortunately, group tutoring does not allow time for working on individual projects or helping with homework (unless the session is a specific homework help session). If your child needs a more customised learning plan and individual attention, please talk to us about paired or one-on-one sessions. Be quick, only 4 children can enrol in each session!

Dyslexia Screening Assessment
Comprehensive assessment to determine if you or your chlld are showing signs of Dyslexia. This assessment is recommended by the Australian Dyslexia Association. Tests for strengths and weaknesses in phonological awareness and phonemic awareness for reading and spelling in English. Includes written report. May be administered over two, one hour sessions or one two hour session. This does not diagnose Dyslexia.
Functional Assessment
All students beginning tutoring with us will have an initial functtional assessment in either English or Maths. This assessment is designed to reveal gaps in your child's knowledge and is used to help us to design a plan specific to your child's indiviuals needs. If your child needs both English and Maths tuition, they will need an assessment in both subjects.

At times schools or other health providers will require official letters or reports of progress. Please be aware that these documents are highly detailed and take time to write. Reports will be charged at an hourly rate.
